We are closed Monday ‑ Friday between the times of 12noon ‑ 1.30pm.
Only emergency telephone calls may be dealt with during this time.
We use a text message reminder service for appointments. Could you please ensure we have your up-to-date mobile phone number. If you do not wish to receive texts from us please let one of our receptionists know.
Appointments can be made either by telephone or by calling in at the reception desk. You can either book an urgent on the day appointment (if available) or go for a pre-bookable appointment.
We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay.
We will also try to give you an appointment with the doctor that you prefer, but it may not always be possible. Its also advisable that you should try to see the same doctor during the course of the same illness.
Please always attend your appointment on time and if you are unable to keep your appointment then please remember to call us as soon as possible. By doing this, you will be helping us to make more appointments available for you and other patients.
All patients new to the practice are offered a medical/health check with the Practice Nurse. New patients are also invited to see a GP if they have a current health problem or are taking medication.
Home Visit Requests: Requests for home visits should be made before 10am and are generally restricted to the infirm and housebound patients. The doctors are happy to make essential house calls ‑ it is the policy of the practice to avoid home visits (4 patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes to make 1 house call).
Please ask the reception staff for further advice on the appropriate appointment.
